From tradition to innovation: preserving the past, building the future

We are an Italian and international leader in construction materials and building technologies.

In recent years we have undertaken important initiatives and investments aimed at reducing our environmental impact. The positioning and recognition we have gained are an incentive to work constantly in an innovative and sustainable manner, while preserving the roots of our traditions and building on our experience.
We are always looking for solutions to reduce waste and energy consumption, making our employees aware of these issues that are priorities for us.
We are part of the Grigolin Group, a company that has been continually evolving for over 60 years: with passion, determination, sacrifices and enthusiasm we have achieved ambitious goals, striving to improve the quality of our products and the services we offer our customers, receiving important gratifications from the market.
The concept of sustainability has evolved over time, as has our history, becoming crucial to our long-term growth and success. We have embraced the challenges posed by the environment and society, and the opportunities of the change taking place in the world with a practical approach, aimed at creating value through our processes and products.

The balance between sustainable thinking and living

We have always stood out for the attention we pay to the environment, with innovative, quality products that meet the needs of both historical and contemporary construction. Elements that today, more than ever, are synonymous with sustainability.
Our aim is to minimise environmental impact, at all stages of development and production. Our work is based on the values of the Grigolin Group: passion, innovation, respect for the customer, development and enhancement of skills, attention to safety, the environment, social issues and the local communities in which we operate.
Lime plays a priority role in the history of our company, and is present in many products. Its characteristics, such as purity, breathability, and chemical-physical properties make it the most widely used element in bio-architecture, restoration, and architectural recovery projects; a versatile product, which finds its greatest application in the construction sector, lime being a fundamental component in the world of building, but also in many other sectors such as ecology and the environment, animal husbandry and agriculture, iron and steel, and the chemical industry.

EPD certification for hydrated lime

EPD certification represents an important milestone in our sustainable thinking and living.
We have followed the natural course of our history, made up of people who put safety at the centre of their work, the ability to meet market requirements, research for continuous improvement, and compliance with environmental sustainability requirements in a sector like ours, which is of considerable importance in Italy and abroad.
With the Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) we guarantee that hydrated lime has a reduced environmental impact. The basis is a detailed and comprehensive study of the product's life cycle, 'from cradle to grave', i.e. from its production to its disposal: the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), an internationally recognised standardised method.
The EPD is an effective tool for communicating information about a product's environmental performance in a transparent, reliable and comparable way. Specifically, it is a type III environmental label that refers to the ISO 14025 standard; it acts with a view to environmental sustainability and makes it possible to combat the phenomenon of greenwashing, thanks to the validation of the information communicated that takes place through independent third-party bodies.
EPD certification is also a strategic choice from the point of view of reputation and trust with our customers who, by choosing our products, are in turn demonstrating a concrete commitment to the environment and sustainability, with added value to the quality and performance required for the materials to be used in projects.
The EPD also guarantees compliance with the CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria), technical and qualitative requirements set by the Ministry of Ecological Transition to participate in Green Public Procurement. In fact, product certifications such as EPD are required to comply with the requirements defined by CAM.
We face the future with greater awareness, in which environmental sustainability is the key to the virtuous path we have taken.
